Recycling and Getting Healthier

So for awhile now I've been thinking about taking some yoga classes. Back before I moved I stumbled upon a few poses in a magazine and started doing them. Tree pose was one of them but I can't remember the others. Then the move came and I didn't have time to practice them, got out of the habit and here I am 6 or 7 months later having forgotten them. I tried to do tree pose the other day and found I can still hold it like I should be able to.

I also recently bought a book that tells about the different poses and gives some stretching advice before doing any actual asanas (poses). It also gives very detailed instructions on the asanas. There's a yoga studio not far from where I am and I'm thinking about going in later and inquiring about the cost of classes and what not. One of my friends out in California knew of a studio that offered classes on a donation basis. There was no fee you were just expected to give a small donation whenever you could. This is basically the kind of place I need. I don't have a whole lot of money but I would like to be able to take some yoga courses.

I've also been drinking a whole lot more water lately. I've nearly eliminated caffeine from my diet. Although, I was taking some Midol earlier and noticed that one of the ingredients in it is CAFFEINE!!! Go figure. I guess there really is no getting away from the stuff. Though I'm trying my best to do so.

I've also cut way back on the sweets. Yes, you could say I'm attempting to lose some weight. Though that is not the way I'm looking at this. If I look at it that way then I'm going to get discouraged when I don't see instant results. So instead, I'm thinking of just making myself healthier. Taking better care of myself and if I lose some weight in the process? Well that's just an awesome side effect. *smile*

Oh also I finally started my household on recycling. Since there is a recycling dropoff spot right on the way to work, there is no reason not to be taking full advantage of it. Doesn't require any extra energy to get their whatsoever. I drive by it 5 days a week.
